The Kansas City Rugby Football Club (City) would like to take this opportunity to invite you to come out and experience a thriving rugby organization. City is a Division I Mens club. Three of the past five years the clubs has ranked in the top 16 in the nation and is focused on remaining a top tier team.

We currently field both an A and B side and would like to develop a C side as our membership continues to grow. We also occasionally have an old boys side play a match or two. You're never too seasoned to become a part of our organization.

One of the essential qualities of the club is its 40 year history of developing top notch rugby players in the Kansas City area. Simply put, KCRFC has committed itself to providing its players with the best possible training environment while at the same time growing a team that has the capability of executing world-class rugby. Actively seeking new talent like you is a cornerstone of this commitment.

One of our major club goals is to be competitive on the field while developing younger, less experienced players. Our excellent coaching staff allows us to offer players with no prior experience, the chance to learn and excel at a dynamic and challenging sport. By blending varying player skill levels, we provide less experienced players with development while at the same time maintaining a competitive and disciplined brand of rugby.

We strive to keep everyone active and host numerous social events. We are also active in a variety of volunteer work. We take great pride in the fact that our members are civic minded and are active in the local community.

We welcome anyone who is interested in joining our club. Physical size is not an issue when it comes to the game. Rugby is a game that rewards speed, endurance, vision and intelligence. Brute strength and size are great assets to have but without the fitness to get around the field and the vision to create opportunities strength and size matter little. Athletes from different sporting backgrounds that tend to excel come from Basketball, Wrestling and Soccer.

Our organization is truly an athletic fraternity. Everyone is welcome and invited to participate. We never discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, religion, or national origin. We train, socialize and play rugby together as good friends throughout the year. We always have several home matches every spring and fall season. So anyone interested in getting to know a little more about the game should mark their calendar. A current schedule is under a link on this site. All home matches will be played at Seymour Rugby Park. The park is located on the Front St exit. off I-29/35. The entrance and a parking lot are located on the South end of the complex. See you soon at Seymour Rugby Park.
