Kansas City RFC vs. K-State/Ft. Riley Memorial Stadium Manhattan, KS September, 17th 2005
By Wayne Nicholsen
City traveled to K-State/Ft. Riley with a mixed side to do a little recruiting and give the locals a run. 39-17 would be the final after falling behind at half 15-17 to an eager (mostly collegiate) side. It was nice to give some of the guys a rest after a hard weekend in Marceline and see some new faces get in with the first side. Thank the lord or the half time pep talk or whatever made us turn it around in the second 40. Ray Camahort would take home honors for man of the match but would ultimately get demoted to the back line for next weeks clash with Springfield for his effort. Good luck Ray! The centers are City’s question mark and different combinations are being tried almost hourly.
