Hall Of Fame Inductees

Gerry Seymour

Gerry was a US Rugby icon, Gerry’s signature is on the original USARFU charter and he served as the union’s representative at the first Rugby World Cup in 1987. He was instrumental in the formation of the West RFU, serving as a Director to USA Rugby for 14 years. He was the founder of the Heart of America RFU, and his vision lead to the formation of the Ozark and Great Plains RFUs, as well as the consolidation of the Iowa RFU.

As the founder of KCRFC in 1964, recruiting our very first players from Kelly's Westport Inn 55 years ago, we as a club are forever grateful and indebted to Gerry's services.

Tim Handlan

Tim had a successful 14 year rugby career. For City Tim was an exceptional athlete and player, skilled enough to play any position in the back line, and played them all very well. His play and leadership on the pitch made him a deserved Captain for City.

He went on to co-found the Oklahoma City RFU.

We are pleased to welcome the very deserving Tim Handlan into our Hall of Fame on June 29th.

Michael Haase

Mike played masterfully in the back row for City, proving time and time again too hard for the opposition to slow down. He was elected as City’s Captain, a title he held for a span of 4 years.

In 2013 Mike was Awarded the Rinehart award for his commitment to our Club and to the game of rugby.

Mike continues to support KCRFC in between his busy lifestyle. We welcome Mike into the 2019 HOF and thank him for his unwavering efforts on and off the pitch.
