Stay Healthy!

Manager of Finance's Message When I was stationed in Germany and playing with Rugby Club Mainz, I guessed I had about 2-3 years left of rugby when I got orders to Fort Leavenworth. I have played, coached, served as Treasurer, President, and other positions at various clubs and thought I could help out. I didn’t expect to play 80 minutes in multiple games at prop and lock, but it has been but a great experience to see all of the potential of KCRFC with players and Old Boys. Last year, Patrick Clifton laid out a vision for CITY Rugby with many hands doing work, sharing resources with other club to create a rugby experience, a whole club approach, and creating value for our players, Alumni and Fans. In August 2019, we presented a two year budget for KCRFC that would lead to financial sustainability for the future. It included wider support from our Alumni and establishing relationships with our great Sponsors. It also focused back on KCRFC core mission of growing youth rugby. It required visibility of what KCRFC was doing and communicating it to everyone. Our VP, Sean Pickett efforts with American Shaman have been amazing. Mr. Dan Thorman from Serve-Pro has provided great support to KCRFC. Will Taylor has outfitted the club with excellent uniforms and merchandise. Old Boys have supported field set up, food, and merchandise tents at the games and created a great experience. Brian Cichello has done a great job with the contact roster and digital Newsletter. Alumni support has exceeded all expectations with over 57 Old Boys paying dues with multiple going above and beyond with additional support to four high school teams. All of our players are contributing with dues. We have moved our financials to Quickbook Online so everyone can have visibility of KCRFC finances. Additionally, we have established digital payment methods with KCRFC PayPal, Square, and Venmo accounts. Despite the current challenges of COVID, KCRFC has a foundation to move forward and with your efforts our potential is unlimited on and off the field. Yours in Rugby, Jason Posey Manager of Finance #1701
