President's Message - Mark Dunning
Well it’s time to dust off the red, white and blue gear (and boots for those who still actively play) as the spring season is upon us and the Club kicks off the spring season with a home game against Little Rock on February 29th with a 1:00 kick-off at City Park! We have had some fun and continued to build camaraderie over the winter with a holiday party, some Third Thursday’s and Texas Hold-em fundraisers to name a few. The level of re-engagement with the club from players, alumni and supporters has been impressive. As many of you have noticed, the Club is recognizing those who have paid their dues or contributed financially to the Club through other means. The continual increase in Alumni financial support is very much appreciated and as we all know, successful rugby clubs rely upon continual and consistent financial contributions, fundraisers and dues collection to operate and provide the ability for young men and women to experience what the game of rugby has to offer. On behalf of the Club, thank you to all who have contributed and for those who have not, please consider reconnecting and helping to ensure that the legacy that Gerard B.A. Seymour started in 1964 continues to be an opportunity for all of us to come together and enjoy a game and each other’s fellowship– whether that be on or off the field. The team sits well positioned to end the spring season at the top of the league and have been hard at training, so let’s all show-up, step-up, and jump in to do whatever we can to support the Club and the game of rugby through our collective and combined efforts! I will see you at the pitch with my challenge coin – don’t forget to bring yours! Let’s do this!

Player Profile Player: Mark Privitera Club Number: 201702 Bio: Mark and his wife Rachel moved to Kansas City in 2017 and works for Cerner. Priv gew up in Rochester NY, attended Emory University and Graduate School at Vanderbilt. Before joining KCRFC, Priv played for High Country in Atlanta and The Renegades in Washington DC. On the pitch we like to say "Priv is always scheming". His ability to find a way though gaps and into open space is always fun to watch. Traditionally a back, Priv found some great success in the pack recently. Tearing up the pitch in our final game of the season last year at flanker. Priv's favorite player is London Wasp turned Buffalo Bill Christian Wade. His favorite BBQ is Slap's in KCK.
